Snack on Yogurt
Many people who want to lose weight, introduce yogurt to their diet. Yogurt is a very good source of calcium and far simpler for your body to digest than milk. Also, some yogurt contains active cultures such as L-acidophilus which is good for maintaining a good healthy colon. If you choose to to add yogurt to your diet, make sure to get the ones low in sugar. White refined sugar is just empty calories and will work against you as you try to lose weight.

Protein
A lot of people do not eat enough good protein and this will work against your weight loss efforts. Part of slimming down is exercising your muscles, and your body needs protein to repair your muscles after you workout. Good sources of quality protein is white fish such as tilapia, salmon which is a good source of Omega-3 oils that is good for your heart, egg whites, canned tuna with water and lean meats. Another good way to add protein to your weight loss diet is to introduce things like sliced turkey breast, sliced ham or sliced roast beef from your local supermarket deli.
Other sources of protein that everyone ignore is peanut butter, cheeses made from milk and milk itself. Adding some of each of these to your weight loss diet is a great way to increase your protein intake for the day.
You don’t have to go on a difficult weight loss diet plan to lose weight. But you do have to eat smarter and healthier. Also, you don’t have to go out and change everything about your diet at once. Pick one of the choices mentioned and look for ways to introduce it to your weight loss diet. If you already have a fairly good diet, try breaking up your meals throughout the day. It is better to eat 4-5 smaller meals than one or two large meals. So go and snack on a bagel, some fruit or vegetables and be happy in the thought that you are doing something good for your body.
